About
Hi, I'm Sef.
I've been building for the web for ten years. My day job is senior front-end developer at a MarTech SaaS company, working on products used by large global brands — so most of my week is spent on complex platforms where the details genuinely matter and nothing ships half-finished.
That work is mostly TypeScript, React and Next.js: making things fast, accessible, and solid enough to hold up under real use by a lot of people. Along the way I've picked up the less glamorous half of the job too — code review, mentoring, architecture decisions, and the CI/CD plumbing that keeps releases boring. More recently that has included shipping a production Model Context Protocol server, so an AI assistant can query a live dataset of 169,000+ records directly rather than through a chat box bolted onto a website.
Evenings and weekends, I do this. Websites and small applications for small businesses, which is a deliberate change of scale rather than a step down. You get the same standards I'd apply to a product with thousands of users, on a four-page site for a business round the corner — and you talk to the person actually building it, not an account manager passing messages along.
If you're weighing up whether to get in touch: there's no hard sell at this end. A first chat is free and genuinely no-obligation, and if I'm not the right fit for what you need, I'll tell you straight away rather than talk you into something.

Ten years of this is the reason the quotes on the pricing page are fixed rather than hourly — after a while you know what a build actually takes. Evening and weekend availability, with replies within two working days.
Work with me
Tell me what the business does and what the site needs to achieve. I will come back with a package, a fixed price and a scope in writing.
