Terms & conditions
The terms we work to
These sit alongside your agreed quote. Together they form the agreement — this page on its own is not a contract.
- Quotes
- Prices shown are indicative ranges. Your final price is confirmed in writing after we have discussed the project, and is valid for 30 days.
- Payment
- 25% deposit to book, balance due on launch. Payment by bank transfer.
- Invoices
- Payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
- Scope
- Work is limited to what is listed in your agreed quote. Anything outside it is a change request, priced and agreed before any extra work starts.
- Revisions
- As set out in your package. Further rounds are charged at the rates above.
- Your materials
- Copy, images, logos and any account access are needed before the build starts. If these are outstanding for more than 14 days the delivery date will move.
- Third-party costs
- Domains, hosting beyond any included plan, paid themes or plugins, licences, and email or payment provider fees are paid by you, either directly or billed at cost.
- Ownership
- Full ownership of the finished site transfers to you on final payment. Open-source frameworks and libraries used in the build remain under their own licences.
- Handover
- Code and hosting access are handed over on final payment. You are free to take the project to another developer at any point.
- Availability
- This is evening and weekend work alongside full-time employment. I aim to reply within two working days. Same-day or emergency turnaround is not offered.
- Support
- The post-launch support window covers defects in the work delivered. It does not cover new features, content changes, or problems caused by third-party services.
- Ongoing plans
- Monthly and rolling, with 30 days' notice to cancel on either side. Unused hours do not carry over.
- Cancellation
- Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel part-way through, work completed to that point is invoiced pro rata.
- Backups & security
- Reasonable measures are taken, but continuous uptime and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Routine backups are included only on an ongoing care plan.
- SEO
- Search engine results are outside anybody's control, so no particular ranking, traffic level or position can be guaranteed.
- Liability
- Liability is limited to the total fees you have paid. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or data.
- Portfolio
- I may show the finished work in my portfolio and case studies unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Governing law
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Prices correct as of August 2026 and subject to change. This document is not a contract in itself; your agreed quote and these terms together form the agreement.
